With my mother's husband Bill passing away too soon, I realized how lucky I was to be alive. As a young married mother with an unstoppable spirit, I was passionate about the significance of each day and wanted to capture it. So I created a system that quickly and easily organized how I was feeling and what I was thinking and doing. With this system I could see my own growth. A few years later my marital status changed to "head of household" and my new creation was put on a shelf.
I then intertwined a new, full-time, corporate job with a three-year full-time, college student gig. For fifteen years I built an award-winning career. And on a cool, sunny, day in early spring, I met an amazing human being, who encourages my passion for helping people. I resigned from corporate America and dusted off the project I started so many years ago.
Today I know that mental health is equally important as physical health. Acknowledging how you feel will help to make better, positive decisions. Having a history of your days will tell you about the growth within them.
